In order to make full melt dry sift, the bubble box can be quite an indispensible tool. For those who have been trying out the dry sifting method, the Bubble Box offers filtration in three layers. Why dry sifting is a perfect method
If you haven’t tried out the dry sifting method yet, here’s why you should give it a shot. Unlike water hash where one stands to lose the smell and flavours of the plant, the dry sifting method of making hash is thus far more effective as you can retain the soluble terpenoids that can be added in a jelly like style to the hash weed.
As soon as you open your bubble box, you will find the bubbleman greeting you as you embark upon the procedure of making hash from hash weed. To begin with you need to break the plant matter on the first screen which is 120LPI/140 micron screen. It will work better if you break the plant with a pepper grinder, but in case you cannot find one a fork or a knife will work too. Next you scrape the material in a back and forth action on the first screen with a business card or any other wedge like object.
How does the bubblebox work?
After a few good scrapes you will get the sifted matter on the second screen which is a 140 LPI/107 micron screen. The extract that you get on this screen will depend on the quality of the plant you are using and how well you are scraping it. That is the key to making hash from hash weed. What you essentially have to do on this second screen is repeat step one that you have followed on the first screen. The idea is to get rid of any large piece of the plant that may have remained during the first screening. The second screen gets rid of these excess.
The third and final screen is where your harvested tricomes finally remain. The job of the final screen that is a 200 LPI/ 70 micron screen is to filter out any contaminants that may have remained in the previous two actions of sifting while making hash. Another process of sifting on the third screen, finally gives you the product that you have been making such efforts for. Once you lift up the final screen you will find the little pile that will have settled on the acetate plate that is black in colour and will be found at the bottom of your bubblebox. If you have used a high quality hash weed for making hash the final product will be impeccable.
